The Grill-Off 2012

For all of you barbecue fans out there, Fred “Freddy J” Daniel & The Oakk Room Restaurant on Main Street are getting ready to unleash some of the best grillers in Greater Buffalo for a competition being billed The Grill-Off 2012. On Monday May 7, from 4pm to midnight, The Oakk Room’s annual barbecue frenzy will pit top barbecue chefs against each other to see who will take home top prizes for best barbecue chicken, tastiest mac and cheese, favorite cornbread and of course the premiere ribs. The Oakk Room already has some of the best barbecue in the city, and serves up its infamous cornbread that is out of this world. For one evening only the restaurant will be turned into a culinary feast fit for a king. The gathering of barbecue greats also offers up the ability for the crowd to judge their favorites in all of the grilling categories.

Annual Grill-Off Competition hosted by Chef Freddy J.  Several Chefs compete to see who has the best BBQ Sauce.  Open to and judged by the public.  Guests get to sample everything from BBQ Ribs, BBQ Chicken, & a host of other foods from the Oakk Room’s menu.  Event is also a showcase of the new Oakk Room Restaurant and its staff. 
How:  Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the Oakk Room Restaurant.  $5 gets you a whole lot of food, plus the kitchen will be open also if you need more…
