ECHDC conducts survey about food, markets and restaurants in Greater Buffalo

The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC)  is looking for some input regarding what sort of food, markets and restaurants you would like to see at Canalside. Over the years there have been talks about public markets under The Skyway, and rumors of Dinosaur BBQ and Ted’s Hot Dogs poking around. At this point we have seen a couple of food-related initiatives surface in the form of Liberty Hound (coming soon) and Clinton’s Dish (hamburger stand). Liberty Hound is scheduled to open this spring, while Clinton’s Dish proved to be the perfect addition this past summer.

As the Canalside vision continues to unfold, it only makes sense that additional food offerings will be added. The ECHDC has compiled a list of potential food operations, and they would like you to rate them. Not only will you see some of the restaurants and markets of interest, your information will go towards helping to narrow down the playing fields. From the ECHDC:
ECHDC is currently conducting a survey about food, markets and restaurants in Western New York. The answers that you provide will assist with our research as we explore options for the future development of Canalside. The survey system does not track any personal information, so all your responses will be confidential and not identifiable with you. If you are interested in helping to shape the future of the waterfront, this is a great opportunity!
