Do you remember how impressive the light show was at the Botanical Gardens last year? Well, Night Lights at the Gardens is back for three weeks in February, returning to our city’s temperate oasis. Not like the Botanical Gardens needed to be any more reasons to be a top winter destination… if you’ve never stepped inside the dome during a snowstorm, then you’re missing out on one of the greatest experiences around.
Add the brilliantly illuminated light show hooked up by Lighting designers SitlerHQ, LLC and Volt Vision, Inc, and you’ve got yourself a surreal island dreamscape the likes of nothing else you’ve ever witnessed. As if that wasn’t enough, the light show will be enhanced by chill musical acts for the first time, while local artist Zach Boehler will be installing a series of sculptures.
All that, combined with the chill sounds of live music on select nights… you just can’t beat the scene. Music acts Lazlo Hollyfeld will be featured on February 3, John & Mary on February 10 and the Gahu Drum Ensemble’s rhythmic percussions on February 17. Music starts at 8:00pm on respective nights.
NIGHT LIGHTS at the Gardens will take place on Wednesday through Saturday nights February 1-4, February 8-11, and February 15-18. NIGHT LIGHTS will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will stay open until 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for Garden members, seniors (55+) and students (13+), $5 kids 3-12 and kids under 3 are free. Guest passes and coupons are not valid during this show. Tickets can be purchased online at www.buffalogardens.com or at the door.
