We are all familiar with the brew festivals that takes place during the warmer months, as summer is an especially great time to throw back some cold beers. But that means that beer-lovers are left out in the cold come winter. As far as I know, beer tasting events are not season specific… or shouldn’t be, which means that it’s due time that someone create a beer festival for the winter time.
Coming up in February is one event that should prove to be well-attended, primarily due to its location at the Connecticut Street Armory, one of the best venues in town. This winter brewfest has the added hook of being ‘mardi gras’ themed.
Located in a historic venue, with 50 local and regional craft beers, a mardi gras theme, and live music by LeeRon Zydeco & the Hot Tomales, some hot food… this is certainly a great way to celebrate winter… Cajun style with a beer foam smile. A $35 ticket gets you a complimentary glass, and three hours of sampling craft beers. It’s time to party and pay homage to winter in Buffalo! Here are the details:
Tickets: Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door
Designated Driver tickets are available for $10 at the door and includes free soda & water.
