Crowley Webb, a full-service marketing communications agency, has chosen three finalists to compete in the agency’s Twenty-Five-Hour Workday contest. The agency will create an advertising campaign for the winner in one marathon, nonstop, 25-hour day. The three finalists are Triad Recycling and Energy, Community Beer Works, and You and Who.
Triad recycles construction and demolition materials, which is then repurposed for use in further construction, thereby avoiding more waste going to WNY landfills. Triad is one of two DEC-permitted construction and demolition/shingle recyclers in New York State.
You and Who is a buy-one-give-one company that sells artist-designed apparel. For every sale, they donate a matching item or a meal to someone in need. They currently work in 32 cities across the U.S., with a goal of reaching the top 100 U.S. metropolitan areas.
Community Beer Works is a nano-brewery that crafts small batches of fresh beer for local drinkers. They seek to cultivate Buffalo’s growing craft beer scene and to restore the city’s brewing heritage and beer culture as part of their mission to “embeer Buffalo.”
The general public is invited to choose which startup they think is the most deserving. Voters can cast one vote per email address per day, with voting ending at 11:59 p.m. on December 4, 2011. The big winner will be announced on the Crowley Webb website on December 5. Visit http://www.crowleywebb.com/25 to vote. Rankings will be posted daily.
