The live music in the city continues to impress, especially now that so many unsuspecting music venues are helping to contribute to the audible cause. Whether the musicians are jamming at The Vault, Canvas @ 1206 (coming soon), The Gameroom, PeopleArt Coffee House, 136 Lofts, The 9th Ward, Xtreme Wheels or Filigrees… sometimes the greatest live acts can be seen at the most unsuspecting places. Take Shakti Yoga for example. Who would’t want to experience an intimate show seated on comfy pillows inside a former bank building? Normally yoga is the name of the game at Shakti, but when the place isn’t filled with people meditating and stretching, the sound of music fills the great hall. Just remember to take your shoes off at the front door… from Shakti:
