Second Chance Sheltering Network, Inc. is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit animal rescue group serving the Western New York area. Their goal is to help place homeless animals while simultaneously helping interested individuals find a new furry companion. Every Sunday, we run a homeless pet spotlight to help these animals find a good home with a loving family. Please consider adopting an animal…
Special Needs Kitty!
Cold, sick and on the verge of death, Ava was taken to another shelter who immediately called Second Chance for help. Ava had a raging ear infection and after blood work was done, it was determined that she also has toxoplasmosis which would account for her imbalance. She was hospitalized at our vets for over a week and then she went into foster care where she was fussed over by her foster mom. After about a month, she went back in for more blood test and a check up and found her ear was cleared up and her toxomoplasmosis was gone. As a result of her illness, she walks with a tilt and can’t jump up on a couch but has to climb up. She plays, chases her plastic ball, has her very own catnip mouse and loves to be loved…
Ava is healthy, happy and besides her balance problem, she is the perfect pet. Ava is negative for feline leukemia/FIV, spayed, had rabies/distemper vaccinations, micro chipped, dewormed and had flea control applied. She also come with one month of complementary pet insurance. If you would like to make this exceptionally beautiful kitty your “furry family member” please call 652-6051.
