Buffalo River Fest Park wraps up the free Wednesday night concert series with a national touring act on Wednesday, August 24th at 6 p.m. The Town Pants, a Vancouver, Canada based band combines aspects of Irish traditional, folk rock and routes Americana featuring their signature dual lead vocals to create their own unique brand of high energy “West Coast Celtic.”
With performances at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and performances throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, the band is a consistent audience favorite. Their music spans five albums in several decades.
Buffalo River Fest Park located at 249 Ohio Street on the Buffalo River offers a great venue to host concerts with its own band shell adjacent to towering grain mills and Michigan Avenue Lift Bridge. Refreshments are available for sale to support the park, therefore, coolers are not allowed.
The series throughout the summer featured bands such as Crikwater, Bleeding Hearts, Urban Renewal, Only Humen, and Crash Cadillac.
