The road for the first phase of Colvin Estates is in. The 126-lot subdivision is located off Colvin Avenue between Taunton Place and St. Lawrence Avenue. Burke Homes had planned to have two model homes open by now but work was delayed until approvals to create larger lots was received.
Original plans called for 26 homes sites in the first phase, each approximately 55′ x 90′. After receiving final City approvals, there will be 22 lots available, some up to 65 feet wide. The builder expects to break ground on the model homes this summer and have them completed in four months.
“We have received many calls from people ready to build new homes in the City of Buffalo, and I feel that this project will be very successful, this is one of the most vibrant areas in the city,” says builder David Burke. “This development will provide quality housing for the families moving into the neighborhood and the City of Buffalo.”
Dean Sutton Architects is designing the Craftsman style homes ranging in size from 1,200 to 1,800 square feet. The floor plans will include ranch and two-story designs and will start in the $230,000 range. The Parker (rendering below) is a three bedroom, 2.5 bath home with 1,739 sq.ft. of living space, a first-floor laundry room and attached two-car garage. Homes can be customized to meet a buyer’s needs.
A 30′ easment for a future bikepath is located on the south side of the subdivision.
