Second Chance Sheltering Network, Inc. is an all-volunteer,
not-for-profit animal rescue group serving the Western New York area.
Their goal is to help place homeless animals while simultaneously
helping interested individuals find a new furry companion. Every
Sunday, we will be running a homeless pet spotlight to help these
animals find a good home with a loving family.
In Honor of All Mothers!
Snookie came to us with her kittens off the cold winter streets of the east side of Buffalo. Like any good mother, she cared for, protected and shielded her kittens from all predators who tried to get them out from under the bush she had them under. A passerby saw her plight and called Second Chance and after some convincing, she went into a carrier after canned food and we had her. We put her babies in with her and she seemed to know that we were not going to hurt her or the kittens and she began to nurse them.
This 4 year old female is looking for a quiet home, preferable with no other pets where she can be the “Queen”. Her kittens are all adopted and now it is her turn. In celebration of Mother’s Day, all Second Chance female cats who have been mothers will have a 1/2 price adoption donation to approved homes through Sunday, May 8th. Snookie is negative for feline leukemia/FIV, has been spayed, had rabies/distemper vaccinations, dewormed and had flea control applied. Is your mother looking for a cat mother?
