A fundraiser for a few local film makers will be held Friday, May 13th at DBGB on Allen Street. The Happy Hour fundraiser includes an open bar, a grand buffet, and live entertainment from the band Voices all for for a donation of $30. The event will run from 6pm to 10pm.
The money raised will help support local filmmakers Brian Bernys, Jacob Albarella, Craig Gusman, Evan Pease, and Anthony Vescio while they work on their locally produced film “Granted”. They were all national finalists for the 2009 48 Hour Film Project. (The 48 Hour Film Project requires a team of film makers to produce and edit a movie in just two days.) The film “Granted” is fictional and is based on the premise of a “room” in which wishes can be granted. Click here to learn more about the film.
The event can be found here on Facebook.
