In celebration of Earth Day, Buffalo ReUSE will be hosting an “E-Waste Collection” event, which will offer the chance to get rid of your old TV, computer or other electronic devices once and for all.
On Saturday April 16, the Buffalo ReUSE retail store, located at 298 Northampton Street, will be accepting E-waste drop-offs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be collaborating with local electronics recycler, Sunnking, to help the community dispose of these items the responsible way. Below is a list of items they will be accepting for recycling:
Computers & Laptops
Printers
Keyboards & Mice
Monitors
Televisions
Microwaves
Copiers
Typewriters
Fax Machines
Cellular Phones & Pagers
Audio & Video Equipment
Telephone Equipment

Any item with a circuit board

Most home appliances
In addition to collecting all your old electronics, Buffalo ReUSE will also be recycling unwanted and reusable building materials and household items as well. They will also be hosting some E-Waste day activities, including worm composting, Tool Library tours and Patchwork Garden sign ups. Those dropping off their materials can also look into continuing their sustainable efforts by purchasing raised garden bed materials and rain barrels.
