Since its inception in 1911, Rotary Club of Buffalo has donated more than $1 million in charitable grants through the Buffalo Rotary Foundation to address poverty, hunger, health, illiteracy and the environment in Western New York. Organizations such as Cradle Beach; Food Bank of WNY; Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo; Goodwill Industries; Rotary Rink and the Frank Lloyd Wright Rowing Boathouse – just to name a few – have benefited from such grants.
One of the main ways the Foundation raises funds is through its annual fundraising event, Wines of the World. In 2011, the sixth annual Wines of the World event will be held in the Mary Seaton Room at Kleinhans Music Hall, 3 Symphony Circle in Buffalo, on Friday, March 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Guests will enjoy fabulous food items from Western New York’s finest restaurants, sample new and different wines and craft brew beers and have a chance to bid on amazing items during live and silent auctions.
This event is open to the public, and reservations are appreciated. Tickets are $50 in advance or $60 at the door and can be purchased at all Wegmans “That’s T.H.E. Ticket” locations, by calling the Rotary Club of Buffalo office at 716.854.3397 or online at www.buffalorotary.org.
