Second Chance Sheltering Network, Inc. is an all-volunteer,
not-for-profit animal rescue group serving the Western New York area.
Their goal is to help place homeless animals while simultaneously
helping interested individuals find a new furry companion. Every
Sunday, we will be running a homeless pet spotlight to help these
animals find families.
HOMELESS BUT HOPEFUL!: Sarah came to Second Chance Sheltering Network, Inc. from another shelter in the area when they became overcrowded. Sarah is a 1.5 year old, black and white “bundle of love wrapped in fur”! She is very vocal and likes to “talk” and is very possessive of her one and only possession she owns, a cardboard box, which she likes to sleep in despite the fact that there are many cat beds scattered around in Second Chances’s adoption center at Honey Hill Pet Center. Sarah is very sweet, laid back, is cat tolerant and would make a great “couch buddy” for those cold Buffalo nights. Sarah is negative for feline leukemia/FIV, had her rabies/distemper vaccinations, been dewormed, had flea control applied and comes with one month’s free pet insurance. Adoption donation required To put in an application for Sarah, call Second Chance at 716-652-6051. Check our website: www.secondchanceshelteringnetwork.com for more adoptable animals.
The Personality of a Tuxedo cat:
Cat temperament is part nature and part nurture. In other words a cat’s personality will come from a mixture of the cat’s genes as well as how the cat is raised–how much he or she is handled and in what manner, for instance. All the Tuxedo cats I have ever known–my own and the cats of others–have had several things in common. They tend to be friendly (as is true with all cats, they are more friendly when they have been spayed/ neutered) and active. They are vocal–much more vocal than a Persian, but much less vocal than a Siamese.
