Plans for $250,000 in improvements and renovations for 392 Pearl Street are currently in the works. The building is under contract with Hertel Properties LLC who hope that the planned upgrades will attract more tenants to the property.
The four-story building dates back to the early 19th century and has been through a lot of change over the years. Striped down to just a shell in the 1980’s, the building was later renovated to include simple art deco styling and a centralized clock. The interior includes a great atrium that runs the entire height of the building which also includes skylights and partially exposed brick walls.
392 Pearl is approximately 32,000 square feet, but only about 12,000 square feet are being leased by the three tenants. Planned improvements include a general modernizing the atrium area and an overall facelift of the complex. Hertel Properties LLC is also considering adding a fitness center to the building to make it more attractive to potential new tenants.
