“Positioning the NFL Brand” will be the topic of a talk to be presented at Monday’s meeting of the Monday Quarterback Club. The luncheon will be held at the Harbour Club at HSBC Arena on December 13th. Doors open at 11:15 am for a buffet lunch, and the program follows at 12:00 pm.
MQB, the business group that backs the Buffalo Bills, is bringing in Peter O’Reilly, Vice President for Fan Strategy and Marketing for the National Football League, as its the featured speaker. O’Reilly’s talk will delve into strategies for reaching out to the younger as well as mature markets, as well as the League’s marketing partnerships. The NFL has certainly been the most dominant sports brand in this country, and O’Reilly is expected to address the NFL’s success in that regard.
Also at this luncheon, the Bills Alumni will present their Citizen of the Year Award to Judge E. Jeannette Ogden. Also in attendance will be Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson, Jr., and Booker Edgerson, President of the Bills Alumni. Ruben Brown, former All-Pro Guard for the Bills (1995-2003) will be on hand to formally receive his previously awarded Distinguished Service Award from Wilson. Brown founded the Ruben Brown Foundation in 2001, with the mission to provide assistance to groups that focus on the development of youth through athletics, cultural and educational programs. The main foundation event is the annual “Ruben’s Run” motorcycle ride.
Howard Simon, WGR 550 morning sports radio talk show host will serve as emcee.
The event is open to Monday Quarterback Club members and their guests.
