Want to do some unique holiday shopping while helping out a worthwhile organization? Looking for a creative gingerbread house to help decorate your house for the holidays?
Join us at Gilda’s Club Western New York, 1140 Delaware Avenue (across from Canisius High School) on Saturday and Sunday, December 4 and 5 from 11am-6pm for our annual Gingerbread…Gifts…Glitz…at Gilda’s Club event!
You can bid via silent auction on amazing gingerbread houses created by student, amateur and professional bakers. Or you can purchase a smaller gingerbread house right then and there.
You’ll also have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind gifts created by local artists – everything from jewelry to pottery to photography to food items, etc – to get a jump on your holiday shopping. All the artists are donating a portion of their proceeds to Gilda’s Club as part of the Artists in Buffalo Holiday Open Studios and Galleries.
Gilda’s Club, if you’re not familiar, provides emotional and social support for men, women, children and teens touched by cancer, as well as family members and friends. It serves the eight counties of WNY, and receives 100 percent of its funding through generous donations from individuals, organizations and businesses.
Did you know three out of four families in WNY will be touched by cancer this year? And that research has proven that emotional and social support is equally important as medical care when there is a cancer diagnosis? Our more than 1500 members will tell you how incredibly helpful it is to be around people who truly DO know what they are going through.
So c’mon out to the beautiful Gilda’s Clubhouse, get some great gifts and gingerbread houses and help out this wonderful organization. For more information, call 716.332.5900 or visit www.gildasclubwny.org.
