On Sunday, October 10, the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society will be hosting its Harvest Fest for All Ages. The event will run from 1 to 4 p.m. and will feature live music and plenty of fun activities for children and parents alike.
Festival goers can see artisan demonstrations by the NYS designer blacksmiths and Common Threads weavers, spinners and natural dyers. There will be pumpkin painting and beeswax candle-making crafts for everyone to try. The festival will also have animals from the Buffalo Zoo’s Heritage Farm and pony rides available for children to enjoy.
There will be a scavenger hunt going on in the museum and the Pioneer Gallery will be open for free tours. The exhibit will show what life was like in historic Buffalo as far back as 200 years.
Child admission will be $5 for members of the Historical Society and $10 for non-members. Adult’s admission will be free with children’s admission. Those adults who are not bringing children will pay $5 for a member’s admission ticket or $10 for non-members.
