The Big Lebowski Festival is coming once again. I ran into one of the organizers a while back and he was considering moving the event to another bowling alley just for a change of scenery, so I’m glad to see that he didn’t. Voelker Lanes is still the bowling alley of choice for a get-together that has gathered no moss over the past couple of years. In fact, this is the third year that the event is to take place – on Saturday Nov 13th a bunch of dudes are going to throw down for a good time and drink beers when they aren’t throwing… it’s that simple.
For 30 bucks any dude can bowl, drink, socialize, chill and test his or her knowledge of The Big Lebowski. It’s a pretty good deal if you think about it, as shoe rentals are included and, oh yeah, beer too. The organizers set it up as a break even event, but if there are any remaining moneys left over, the cabbage is donated to a local charity. Be like The Dude and don’t think about it too hard… just sign up for a good time and bowl some rounds and meet some new friends.
