Now See This!

Work is still underway to install a new digital marquee on the Convention Center. What might currently look like two gigantic speakers are actually two state-of-the-art LED video screens. The screens are scheduled to be tested out in approximately two weeks, and if everything checks out, messaging videos will commence. The broadcasts will convey information pertaining to Convention Center events and general visitor information.

When the screens are finished, they will look like this. All total, the Convention Center is undergoing a $7million facelift. We might have to wait to see any moneys allocated to the Court Street rear end of the building (see here), but at least Lite Brite is no more. It would be nice to see something take the old marquees place – some serious modern art that would add to the overall visiting experience.
