Other than heading directly to the farm, there’s one other way to experience the true culinary tastes of summer, and that’s with a visit to Gardens on Grant. On August 21st the Grant Street greenhouse will open its doors (and windows) to the public so that they can get a taste of homegrown delights. It’s a chance to see for yourself this historic structure in full operation while sharing some of the bounty grown right inside.
Culinary offerings include grilled vegetables, Bloody Marys with fresh-squeezed tomatoes and of course the experience would not be complete without the cool refreshing frozen dessert flavors whipped up by next door neighbor, Dolci. Don’t forget to try the Mojito Sorbet! To top it off, Grillin’ at the Garden is a benefit for Buffalo ReUse, a non-profit near and dear to the hearts of Grillin’ hosts Daniel Ash and Vincent Kuntz. That means that donations to Buffalo ReUse “are encouraged”. Get out your green jeans and come support green demolitions in a greenhouse on Grant Street.
