– On July 30th, the Tralf will be treated with a performance from indie punk rock legends, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Mixing the blues unorthodoxy of Captain Beefheart with the punk energy of MC5, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion has carved their way through the music scene over the years. Fans may recall some of their classic music videos from the 1990’s including, but not limited to, the Weird Al Yankovic-directed “Wail”, or the dadaist sci-fi mini-epic “Dang.” Even non-fans may recognize their signature sound used for the theme to Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, as well as contributing a track to Edgar Wright’s cop comedy, Hot Fuzz.
Tickets are still available for what should be an excellent evening of high-energy blues punk rock. See you there!
