Acclaimed Author to Speak

On Monday, author Terry Angel Mason will make an appearance at Spot Coffee for a book signing/lecture/discussion. Mason is an award-winning, internationally recognized author and civil rights activist who champions equal rights for same-gender loving people. His breakthrough book, “Love Won’t Let Me Be Silent” propelled him to world-wide recognition, and is said to have provided inspiration for gay men and women, encouraging them to stand up for their rights.

Distinct and effective, Mason is said to “blend an innate zeal for justice with a spiritual insight molded and tempered by love”. His work covers the critical issues that impact the lives of same-gender loving people everywhere, important international and domestic issues, such as:

~The Constitutionally proposed genocide of gays in Uganda by Ugandan officials, known as the “Kill the Gays Bill.”

~Prop. 8, The legislative template that many states are now using to deny gays the right to marriage.

~The ongoing battle to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell!

This is a great opportunity to hear Mason speak. Books for purchase will be available at the venue.

Buffalo Rising

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
