Mark your calendars! The Historic Linwood Tour of Homes is set for Sunday, April 25, noon to 4:30!
The tour will reveal interiors rarely opened up to the general public. Eleven heritage buildings, including the Bristol Home, the gatehouses of Forest Lawn Cemetery, and the Richardson Romanesque-styled Delaware Avenue Baptist Church, are included in this year’s jaunt. The tour includes a wine tasting and a romantic carriage ride through Forest Lawn! Can it be beat?
The Linwood Avenue Historic District is a window into Buffalo’s past, present, and future. Restored interiors, featuring handcrafted woodwork, beautiful leaded and stained glass windows, and elaborate staircases, present a quiet luxury typical of architecture built in Buffalo at the turn of the century, and are also a signal of the economic and cultural resilience of the city’s historic neighborhoods in the 21st century!
Tickets are $18 in advance, and $23 the day of the tour. The tour starts at noon sharp on the 25th at the Art Dialogue Gallery, 1 Linwood Avenue. Visit historiclinwood.org to secure tickets today!
