The Tea Party group (TEA New York.com) led by Rus Thompson, has tagged CEO of Ellicott Development Carl Paladino as their candidate of choice to run for governor of New York State.
The group believes the outspoken local developer is just the answer to what they feel is poor leadership and representation in Albany. Paladino has made no secret of his disdain for local politics, along with citing dysfunction on the state level, and he has gone as far as taking out print ads, buying radio time, and putting up billboards to say so.
Paladino would be a local option, now that County Executive Chris Collins has decided not to make a bid for the governor’s seat.
From the TEA Party statement: Carl Paladino is a political force of his own, is widely respected by all the politicians, is relentless in focusing and driving home the points of failure of Albany and the representatives that are supposed to serve us, We the People.
