Valentine’s Day is traditionally known for heart shaped candy, cheesy greeting cards and pressure to perform grand romantic gestures for one’s significant other. Here is yet another way to celebrate the day – the St. Valentine’s Day Haunted Pub Crawl of Allentown.
This Friday, February 12th at 6:30PM, all are invited to participate in this unique event. The Crawl will begin at Cozumel Grill & Tequila Bar on 153 Elmwood Ave. The event is led by author Mason Winfield and a few close colleagues. For $20 a person, one can experience “a little bit of socializing, a bit of walking, some local ghost stories, some timely storytelling…and a couple of cheerful toasts at a handful of Allentown bars,” says Winfield.
On average, a Crawl lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours. This Friday, in addition to Cozumel Grill, participants will visit Frizzy’s Bar & Grill, The Bend and other local bars.
The event also incorporates the theme of Valentine’s Day, so another objective of partaking in the fun is for people to spend time with their significant other or look to meet someone special. In fact, Winfield wishes “everyone might meet the one love of their lives” during the special event this Friday, or on any of the Pub Crawls. The stories told will all include themes of love and Valentine’s Day.
Winfield founded his company Haunted History Ghost Walks, Inc. in 1996, which promotes and organizes events related to “haunted” tourism. The first Haunted Pub Crawl was held in 2006. Ever since then, Winfield and his colleagues have been hosting the event in towns including East Aurora, Williamsville and Saratoga Springs and Allentown.
Come enjoy all the different spirits the Allentown district has to offer!
