In advance of the December 31st date, on which the City of Buffalo will take over the operation and maintenance of city parks, the Brown administration wants to hear from “all community groups, not-for-profit organizations, athletic teams, and any other groups who may from time to time use city parks facilities for organized events, meetings and other activities.”
The city says that in addition to information Erie County passes on to them, along with maintenance of the parks, they want to make sure everyone is accounted for. They ask that a contact from each group contact the mayor’s 311 Call and Resolution Center, where an operator will process the necessary information.
In other park news, wifi will be available through Verizon in Delaware Park (details coming). With Ice Cream James back in town (he didn’t cotton to the South after all), one can only imagine everyone’s favorite vendor setting up a coffee, cocoa, hot dog and soft-pretzel cart for users through the cooler months.
