Yikes! It’s Super Thursday!

It’s Super Thursday of WBFO’s pledge drive, and we almost forgot to make that pledge that doubles with a benevolent donor’s dollars.

If you love our local public radio station – and we know you do because the Buffalo Rising podcast was the Number 1 choice of WBFO listeners for their iPods according to News Director Mark Scott – then you should pledge now.
Once we thought the world would end when Bob Edwards left the NPR spot in the mornings, but now we have Bert Gambini locally.  Used to be when we saw Bert at the station he would answer “How are you?” with “Good. Yourself?”  Now he says, “I’m loving life,” in reference to his new position, announcing morning news.  We love it too, along with all the other great programming WBFO brings us.
If you think you don’t have a lot to give, now is the time because not a lot, doubled, is a lot more of something.  Likewise, if you had a nice, juicy thank you ready for the station, it gets even juicier.
Go to WBFO.org and click on the icon of the super guy pictured at the top of this post.  It will take you to a page that shows all of the goodies you can get with your pledge.  On top of that, know that as a BRO/WBFO fan, you’re on the cutting edge of new media.  Though this pbs.org article has outdated information on the BRO side, we think you’ll find it interesting.
So pledge now!

Buffalo Rising

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
