The old
bagel shop location on Elmwood between Auburn and Cleveland will finally
be getting a new tenant, when Penzeys Spices opens up their 43rd retail
location at 783 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo.
The
store will carry over 250 herbs, spices and seasonings including whole spices,
spice blends, extraordinary cinnamons and peppers, soup bases, extracts, sea
salt and many different gift boxes and crates for that special occasions. With
all of that variety, Penzeys claims its customers get the best quality spices at
costs that are lower than supermarket pricing.
The
largest mail-order spice company in the United States, Penzeys knows they
already have a good base of customers throughout Western New York
that will flock to the Elmwood location. Expecting to open before the
holiday season, their hours of operation will be Monday-Saturday 10AM to 6PM,
and Sundays 11AM to 5PM.
With retail
operations throughout 24 states, Penzeys has a 300,000 sq ft warehouse that is
located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin (a suburb of Milwaukee). As for the choice to
move to Elmwood, Penzeys is a family owned business that was looking for a nice
location with foot traffic, where they can become part of the community. They
found it!
