Professional Networking Opportunities in Support of a Aids Community Services.
By Katie Krawczyk
Women of Buffalo Unite! There is now an opportunity for area
femme fatales of all ages, races, backgrounds and vocations to meet and mingle
in a fun and relaxed setting, while supporting a local charitable organization.
Each month, the Women’s Wine Club will host two gatherings, one
at The Stillwater in Buffalo–the first Tuesday of the month–and one at Verbena
Grille in Williamsville–the second Tuesday of the month. These events will kick
off in August, starting at 6PM on Tuesday, August 4 at The Stillwater and
at 6PM on Tuesday, August 11 at Verbena Grille.
In addition to the tremendous networking opportunities, these
events will allow guests to enjoy a gourmet meal, as well as taste and
learn about regional wines throughout the evening. In August, the featured
wines will be supplied by Empire Merchants North.
Through these monthly events, the Women’s Wine Club will be
raising funds for AIDS Community Services of Western New York (ACS), which
provides comprehensive medical and supportive services to individuals, families
and communities challenged by the HIV/AIDS disease. Each year over 1,200
Buffalo-area men, women and children receive direct services from ACS,
including: medical care, HIV prevention programs, case management, counseling,
housing assistance, home delivered meals and emergency assistance. Thousands
more receive potentially life-saving information through grassroots outreach
efforts.
Reservations
for the Women’s Wine Club are strongly encouraged and can be made through the
AIDS Community Services Web site or by contacting Kristin Scholz @ 847.0340 ext. 395. The cost of
each event is $55 per person for advance reservations or $65 at the door.
