On Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th, join “Takin’ It to the Streets,” an annual community rally to help single mothers and their children,” will take place at Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Buffalo’s East Side from 11 AM until 9 PM.
This event will feature health and job information, food and clothing give-a-ways, dance and musical performances, activities for kids and many other community-enriching activities.
“Takin’ It to the Streets,” one of the East Side’s largest events,” was initiated almost two decades ago to address many problems plaguing the community. The event is held during back-to-school shopping time–a time that poses a problem for many single parent families. The rally offers help to those in need whether it’s healthcare, employment or food.
Volunteers and donations are welcome.
