On August 21, Blink-182 will be playing at Darien Lake with Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, and Chester French. And just because the show will be over doesn’t mean the music will stop. Dubbed “The Black Party,” Fall Out Boy bass player Pete Wentz will take to the stage at Pure Nightclub, 75 West Chippewa, from 10 PM to 4 AM with Buffalo’s own Keith Buckley, lead singer of Every Time I Die. All you need is a ticket.
Pete Wentz gained notoriety with Fall Out Boy, and his interest in DJing led him to owning several clubs across the country. He and Buckley have become good friends, and Wentz contributed vocals on ETID’s new album. As if it isn’t rare enough to have a Pete Wentz set in a local bar, the fact that pair will be performing a joint set simply adds to the unique nature of the event. It hasn’t happened before, and honestly; it might never happen again. This is a very unique treat for Buffalo!
Now this isn’t official, but there are some rumors floating around that members of Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy plan on attending the show.
There are also plans to roll out a black carpet and offer a VIP backdrop at the entrance. It really sounds like one of those trendy New York City nightclub experiences, but with the Buffalo flavor of 5 AM Steakout and ETS when you’re done partying.
Come hang out on Chippewa, as The Black Party promises to be one of the biggest parties of the Summer!
