With Buffalo Creek Casino construction halted since last August, and the continuation of lawsuits brought by the Citizens Against Casino Gambling in Erie County, a new load of steel was delivered to the casino site yesterday.
A BR reader believed it to be flooring steel, and though there are no workers on site today, one wonders if construction will commence, or whether this is a back order with a hellacious lag time.
Though the tendency to speculate that construction was halted in the wake of Judge William Skretny’s ruling last July that gambling could not legally take place on the site, the Senecas claimed the economy was a major factor in ceasing further construction of the $333M project at the time.
Since last summer when the Seneca’s let go of Phil Pantano, their public relations director, all of our casino information has been coming from the Eric Mower Agency, who has not responded to our inquiries as of yet. We’ll keep you updated as we’re able to find out more.
