We recently told you that AC/DC is coming to Buffalo. They’re huge. But we just learned that Jamie Foxx’s Blame It Tour to support his new album, Intuition, is coming to Buffalo too!
The show is August 17 at 8 PM, at Shea’s Performing Arts Center, and was just recently added to Shea’s lineup. At the time of my writing this story, the date wasn’t on Shea’s or Jamie Foxx’s websites, but it’s up at Ticketmaster, so that’s promising.
Jamie Foxx first gained notoriety by being cast as an actor on Fox’s In Living Color, but did not star in films until 1997’s Booty Call. When he was cast in Oliver Stone’s 1999 film Any Given Sunday, he became regarded as a respected actor. He won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in 2004’s Ray, and has been an A-list actor since. At a young age, Foxx played the piano and sang in his local choir. Professionally, he has collaborated with Kanye West on “Gold Digger,” singing back-up vocals sampled from Ray Charles song “I Got A Woman.” He has been nominated for several Grammy awards.
Tickets go on sale today, July 23, and are priced at $39.50, $54.50, and $67.50. Get them online or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
