Jobs: Get Hired Buffalo

Looking for a good job or better employment? If so, the Western New York Career Resource Expo is your chance to participate in a unique career related community service event geared towards assisting unemployed or underemployed Western New Yorkers. The event will service job-searching tips, networking opportunities and a wide array of practical, career-related guidance.

Sponsored by the Western New York Association of College Career Centers, the Buffalo Niagara Human Resources Association and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, the Western New York Resource Expo is free and open to the public. Experts from local companies, organizations and schools will be on hand to provide job search assistance, educational and training opportunities, information regarding credit counseling, entrepreneurial opportunities and mental health support. All those participating in the career fair are volunteers; local companies, organizations and colleges that have offered to provide their time and services to support local job seekers during these challenging economic times.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to hear directly from the experts how to become a better job seeker and to meet with local organizations and agencies that can help,” said Judith C. Applebaum, interim director of Career Services at the University at Buffalo.

The Western New York Resource Expo will be held on August 12th, from 1PM to 5PM at the Erie Community College City Campus, located at 121 Ellicott Street, Buffalo. For more information on this special event visit Western New York‘s Employ Me website, call Applebaum at 716.645.2231 or email her at jca@buffalo.edu.
