The Community Music School will present two free neighborhood concerts, featuring Carol McLaughlin with Magnitude.
McLaughlin performs Big Band music with his group Magnitude. He studied jazz composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, as well as classical performance on flute and saxophone at SUNY Buffalo. He has worked as a studio musician, music director for the Eastern Steamship Line and band leader with Carnival Cruise Ship. McLaughlin has appeared with the Buffalo Jazz Workshop, and has performed with Magnitude for the past decade (Biography and photo from McLaughlin’s MySpace page).
The first performance will take place Friday, July 10th at Schiller Park Senior Center, located at 2057 Genesee Street, from 1 PM until 2:30 PM.
On Friday, July 24th, the second concert will be performed at the William-Emslie YMCA, located at 585 William Street, from 1:30 PM until 3 PM.
