As if there were not enough things to do this weekend, we can’t forget about A The Taste of Diversity (AToD). This is a relatively new event situated at the corner of Lafayette and Grant. If you’re at all familiar with the West Side, then you know about the many cultures found there. AToD is essentially the best way to immerse yourself into those cultures. By sharing the different cuisines, music, dance, etc., West Siders have found a way to come together en masse to celebrate the city’s ever-growing diversity.
Brought to you by the Grant-Ferry Association, AToD is one of the best ways to become familiar with the Upper West Side. Walk around and check out the new businesses on Grant Street (see, I didn’t even mention Sweet_ness 7). Visit the Lafayette school loft conversion currently in progress. Grab some $1 food samples from any one of the many offerings. Catch some live music while you roam around taking in the sights and smells. It all takes place Saturday from 11am-3pm. See something different. See you there (if I can make it in time coming from Riverfest)!
