Camp Good Days Gala

The 8th Annual Camp Good Days Gala will be on Saturday, June 20th, at the Hyatt
Regency from 5:30PM to midnight to benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times, also marking the 30th
anniversary of the organization.
The camp is only the third of its kind within the country, working
to provide children who have been affected by cancer with a happy and normal
camp experience.

Camp Good Days and Special Times is a not for profit organization that builds self-esteem in kids through its year-round programs and activities,
including summer camp for kids on Keuka Lake.

For
many kids, it is their first time going to camp, and they are nervous and unwilling
to part with their parents and afraid of meeting new kids.  Lisa Donato, Executive Director of
the camp, says one of the most rewarding aspects is seeing how
quickly the kids bond over their differences, and in the end, they don’t
want to leave the camp just as much as they didn’t want to come.  The camp provides the kids with a place
where they’re free to be themselves and not be self-conscious about signs of their illnesses.

The
gala is one of the biggest fundraisers for Camp Good Days and is sure to
provide a night full of fun and fulfillment.  Special guests this year include Buffalo Sabre, Paul Gaustad
as the Honorary Chairman along with Lindy Ruff and his wife.  The Master of Ceremonies will again be
Rob Lederman of 97 Rock, among other live entertainment.  Among the crowd, Princess Leia, Darth
Vader and Luke Skywalker are bound to be roaming around since the theme of the
gala is Star Wars!

Tickets
for the gala can be purchased online or by calling 716.206.0709.
