Buffalo Rising Traffic Update (March – May)

It’s time for the periodic Buffalo Rising traffic update. . .

From March 1, 2009 through May 31, 2009, BuffaloRising.com has received 574,485 visits from 214,185 unique visitors.  Compared to the same time period last year, visitors have increased 18% and unique visitors are up 34%.  In our last report, we mentioned that February was our largest month ever with 71,956 unique visitors – well every month since then has eclipsed that record and March is our new all-time high with 81,419 unique visitors.

It’s now clear that our former print readers have joined us online and we appreciate those of you who have made that transition.

A special note to all the visitors from The Buffalo News (which ranks 15th) – here’s hoping you folks actually credit other media outlets when you get stories from us.

The broader internet trends continue to show up in the local web zeitgeist – less traffic from second rate search engines like MSN Live Bing and Ask and more traffic from social network sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Like most sites, we use Google Analytics to track our traffic so let us know if you have any questions.
