Brush Up Buffalo 2009 is rescheduling its annual event from June 20 to June 27 due to inclement weather. Volunteers are asked to check their e-mail and the Brush Up Buffalo Web site (www.brushupbuffalo.org) for further updates. This is the first rain delay in Brush Up Buffalo’s 13-year history.
More than 600 volunteers are currently registered for the one-day, annual event. Eighteen low-income, single-family, owner-occupied homes are slated to receive a fresh coat of paint in the area surrounding the University at Buffalo South Campus.
All activities and times as originally scheduled will take place the following week on Saturday, June 27. Volunteers should arrive at the University at Buffalo South Campus Diefendorf Lot, accessible from Bailey Avenue, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Additional volunteers are welcome and may register online.
