There’s a family coming to Buffalo for a visit very soon. They’re coming here in order to look around – apparently they have been hearing great things about the city and have decided to try it out (and most likely stay). The family has set its eyes on city living. As I said, they are coming to explore their new surroundings – unfortunately, they have run into an interim roadblock that maybe we all can help them with. They are looking around for a place to stay for a couple of days that is kid-friendly, as they have a 14-month old baby in tow. This is the latest note that I received from the family:
We checked into both your suggestions for places to stay, but from the web sites it looks like both are not set up for families with young children. We want to stay in Buffalo the city, so we can walk around and get to know the place but many of the hotels are poorly reviewed on Tripadvisor, and we’re inclined to stay in Amherst and drive in. Our experience since having a baby is that apartments work best rather than hotel rooms, but if you don’t know of an apartment, a recommendation for a hotel that would be appropriate for us would be greatly appreciated. My wife is also interested at looking at houses while we are there.
Seeing that I have no kids, there’s not much that I can offer as far as kid-friendly accommodations go. I’m at a loss. C’mon…. there’s got to be a place or two that cater to kids… no? Keep in mind that it would be nice to be close-by to plenty of other amenities. And if worse come to worse, does anyone have a spare room or two?
