Autistic
Services Inc. has made the move to
approval process led by former Senator Mary Lou Rath and parent Lisa Kowal. The
agency will now be better able to meet the demands of the
growing autistic community in Western New York. The new facility is located at
adults with Autism.
Prior
to the expansion, there were 30 adults on the waiting list for services. Now
with the
the group hopes to have the ability to serve these adults. The

new location will help place adults who have the capacity to work into jobs in the
community. The location will also provide housing for some adults in 11 group
homes in the surrounding community, as well as provide occupational therapy.

Federiconi, executive director of Autistic Services, believes that “the

provides an excellent opportunity for the agency to contribute to the economic

art gallery that will showcase the works created by artists with autism. In
celebration the completed expansion, the agency is holding an open house complete with wine, Hors d’ oeuvres,
chocolates and art work. The event is from
