Graycliff tours will be conducted on the 2nd Saturday of each month: January 10th, February 14th and March 14th. Each 3-hour tour will focus on Wright’s organic style, employed during the architect’s mid-career, and in contrast to his earlier and later styles.
Graycliff, seated on an 8.4 acre estate on Lake Erie in Derby, was completed in 1929 and served as a summer home to the Darwin Martin family until the mid-1940s.
Tours of the grounds and 3 buildings will be led by Vice President of the Graycliff Conservancy Patrick Mahoney, or board members Joseph Blatz and Diane Schrenk. The price is $40, $30 for students, reservations needed. Dress for the weather.
