Looking for authentic Buffalo gear to hang on the tree, send to a friend or give to a special someone this holiday season? Head to the Buffalo Niagara Visitor Center, located on the first floor of the Market Arcade Building (617 Main Street). Besides offering maps, guides, and information on area attractions, the Visitor Center also doubles up as a great holiday shopping spot without the lines this season.
“The Buffalo Niagara Visitor Center is a great source for local, regional and state information and has affordable Buffalo & I LOVE NY merchandise,” said Denise Drews, Visitor Center manager. “It’s a one stop shop, where you can find information on the area and get your Christmas shopping started.”
Show your pride for the city or give to your visiting relatives unique Western New York wear with Buffalo and “I Love NY” logos this season. Priced at a mere $12 for tees, with sweatshirts under $20, there are a variety of colors and styles available. Get stuffed buffalos as children’s stocking stuffers, with five sizes available, from $5-$12.
Buffalo note cards make a great gift, or can be used as seasonal greeting cards. With stunning pictures of Buffalo’s architecture and scenes around the city, you’ll be sure to entice anyone to make a trip to Buffalo this winter when they see the beautiful images. Attach a calendar of the Botanical Gardens ($13.95) or of Buffalo architecture ($15) to start off the new year.
There’s plenty of other Buffalo gifts too—from Christmas ornaments, hats, mugs, key chains and bumper stickers, to a variety of books on Buffalo attractions, events and architecture.
For some fun, one-of-a-kind gifts, give a “Wing-it” apron or an authentic Wing Night kit that includes sauce, recipes and all the ingredients you need to make authentic Buffalo wings.
The visitor center also doubles as a great location to pick up maps, guides and brochures for holiday visitors. The staff at the visitor center can answer your questions and offer tips on places to go and things to see.
The Buffalo Niagara Visitor Center is open Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM and Saturday 10AM-2PM. For more information, visit www.visitbuffaloniagara.com or call 852.2356.
