I think I’ve got a lot of Buffalo spirit until I run into someone, or something, that makes me wonder. Of course the Buffalo bumper sticker is an easy way to tell someone that you have pride in the city. A coffee table book is another way to do it. I’ve seen a lot of Buffalo t-shirts too – it seems as if a new one comes out everyday. But there are the extremists that you see every once in while who completely dwarf the everyday Buffalo expressionists.
Here are just a couple of examples of Buffalo behavior taken to the nth degree. The Jeep has been driving around the city for at least the last year. Not only does it have green buffalo graphics all over the sides, it also has a huge buffalo on the hood and bumper stickers on the tail. The second example is a bit more permanent. I ran into a young guy recently who had tattooed the City Hall building onto his forearm. Then, below the building a big ‘Buffalo’ was added. Now that, to me, showed some serious dedication.
