The Martin Group Breaks Ground

Today The Martin Group, a full-service marketing communications firm, announced plans to move into new headquarters at 477 Main Street in downtown Buffalo.
President and Creative Director Tod Martin explained that the building was purchased one year ago, and may take that long again to bring to the vision that he has created along with architects Carmina Wood Morris, PC, as well as Lamparelli Construction Co.,Inc.
Martin thanked Councilmember Brian Davis along with the Buffalo Economic Renaisance Corporation for their help in moving this project to fruition.

“It’s an unusual occurrence when our company is the focus–we’re usually marketing our clients. TMG has operated quietly, one client at a time,” Martin said. “Now we have a client base worthy of Madison Avenue.” He added that the renovation of 477 Main is “the type of creative endeavor we flourish in.”

A small local sampling of TMG’s extensive client list includes Hodgson Russ Attorneys, Delaware North Companies, Tuxedo Junction, Evans Bank, and New Era Caps, whom Martin said has served as an inspiration with their own beautifully renovated downtown headquarters on Delaware Avenue.

Michael Schmand, Executive Director of Buffalo Place was on hand and praised Martin for his efforts along with other locals such as Carl Paladino, who have invested in the 500 block of Main. He said that he was happy to see this type of “reuse in the Queen City.”

Christopher Koch, President of New Era Cap took the podium saying that he was pleased with the full renovation TMG has planned. “There’s always a lot of talk, but when a private businessman puts his own money on the line…If you want more people spending their time and money in downtown Buffalo,” Koch said, “you have to give them something to come here for.”

To top it off, Koch presented Martin with an exceptionally natty New Era “Special Edition Martin Group” cashmere baseball cap.
