A Staple of Buffalo’s Original Music Scene in the late 90’s, Oui 73’s melodic blend of shoegazer pop and layered guitars made them an interesting band to see at many of the Live Music venues in that era. Just reunited upon Drummer Craig Voight’s home leave from active duty military service for 2 shows, one last week opening for Ron Hawkins North Tonawanda, and now tonight(8/11) on their home turf at Nietzsche’s for one more.
Veterans of many notable bands when they formed in the mid 90’s, Splatcats- Richie Coffman, Ramrods- Craig Voight, A Potters Field- Tony Christiano, along with one of the coolest Rhythm Guitarists Buffalo has ever seen Holly Christiano, Oui 73 were known for their live shows which gave the Flaming Lips a run for their money with sick amounts of Fog and Strobes. Check out their audio at http://www.myspace.com/oui73
Opening the show is one of Buffalo’s newest faves-
Here Come The Comets
Nietzsche’s is at 248 Allen Street.
