This Saturday you will have the chance to see the fastest sailing vessel in the Great Lakes up close and personal. The Earth Voyager, a trimaran over 60 feet long and over 100 feet to the top of the sails will definitely be a site to see in the new Commercial Slip in the Inner Harbor. The purpose of the Voyager’s arrival and its entire Great Lakes tour is to raise awareness of the importance of ecological restoration throughout the Great Lakes. The Expo will be a chance for community members to come and experience the boat and learn what they can do to help the Lakes.
In addition to the Earth Voyager, visitors will be able to tour the historic Edward M. Cotter Fireboat, visit the Commercial Slip, learn about Great Lakes wildlife, ecology, and geology, partake in children’s educational activities, and find our how each one of us can make a difference for the Great Lakes.
