We just wanted to let everyone know that this Monday, June 23rd, registration begins for the 48 Hour Film Project. Check out their website for all of the rules and regulations. It doesn’t happen until August 15th, but it’s going to take you months of planning if you want to partake!
The 48 Hour Film Project first hit Buffalo last year. It is a contest where filmmakers create an original work within a 48-hour time period. The films are screened at the Market Arcade and a panel of judges chooses the winners. Terry Fisher, the organizer of the project in Buffalo, sent out an e-mail saying there will be meet and greet style events coming up as well as announcements on prizes and awards for the show.
New this year is a planned “Best of” showing at the Market Arcade based on viewer and judge reactions to the films. For more information you can e-mail buffalo@48hourfilm.com or terry@fullcirclestudios.com or visit Buffalo’s own 48 Hour Film Project website. If you’d like to watch last year’s top film, check it out here. You can also see our editor’s favorite from last year here.
