Back in May… of ’07, I wrote a post regarding a dog-friendly business moving into Allentown. The location was to be at the June 2 Modeling Agency building. It appears that after more than a year’s time, the Allentown Dog Center plan is moving forward. Actually, the signs on the building state that the business is scheduled to host an open house this weekend (June 21st). A quote from last year’s post:
“We will be bringing a dog-friendly business to Allentown. It will be a place where owners can come to socialize their dogs. We will most likely offer doggy daycare, walking services, bathing and grooming, pet parties,… and down the road we will be looking into boarding as well as carrying accessories and food. There are a lot of dogs in Buffalo, and we feel that the city should be as dog-friendly as possible.”
A BRO reader has the details: The Grand Opening will take place from 10a-5p. The facility will offer dog daycare, bathing/grooming, boarding, obedience, pick up/drop off, and pet sitting/homecare. The address is 2 Irving Place, 14201 (corner of Irving & Allen); telephone is 716.689-8884.
